Default clear coat

is an acrylic laquer clear coat ok to put on top of an enamel paint or will it mess it up? thanks

If I remember correctly, you can laquer over enamel, but not enamel over laquer... could be wrong. If it's a spray can..probably no problem. If it's a mixed paint... I wouldn't.

I know with hobby paints you want the opposite; enamel over lacquer is fine but lacquer over enamel will react. Lacquer has some nasty solvents in it that will craze bare plastic without the proper prep and will cause enamel to bubble and crack.
