Default Cleaning the air system...

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the dust out of my Truck's vents? my 07 sierra classic has been a dirt/gravel road warrior for the last two years and it's to the point that even after a full detail whenever i turn the air on i get a cloud of dust blow out, and it's even worse on cold days because then all i can smell is the dust cooking with the defrost on. i've tried blowing it out with an air compressor and nothing seems to help. any input would be GREATLY appreciated...

on a side note, since there's no cabin air filter, any ways to prevent the same problem in the future? 70% of my daily commute is backroads, and being in the livestock industry, well over half of my daily driving is in the sticks.

thanks again guys!
