I use the claybar dry...a technique I have mastered. I did my stepmoms 97 toyota that hadnt had but 2 washes since she bought it 7 years ago, needless to say it was a green car that was litterally black. After about 5 hours of claying it, the thing was so smooth and Green, lol. I have spread the word about claybar ever since, its magic.

I didn't realize you could use it dry.....any tips? Does it seem to work better?

i gotta agree with niwtsol, black does love clay. Had the truck washed, clayed and waxed 2 weeks ago and the damn thing is still gleaming.

I clay bar my Silverado once every year. Usually right when the weather gets nice and I take the truck out of storage. Strip the wax, give it a good washing, clay bar, then re-wax.
