Default Cage and bed cover???

I am looking at having a cage installed in my truck this summer. I have a fiberglass bed cover now and knwo that I will have to get rid of it when the cage goes in. But I just had a fuel cell installed into the bed and I would like to keep it covered. Does anyone know where I can get a leather cover that is moddified to work with the cage in???? Thanks

Matt

I think that it will need to be custom, or something that you could rig. Good luck, keep us posted.

For sure. Since the downbars coming thru the window are different on every cage, how could you sell something like that and expect it to fit every truck. You're gonna have to alter one yourself. There were some pics around here awhile back....I think it was on a Lightning.

You may have to buy a soft cover, which will give you the hardware and cover, and take it to any auto or boat upholstery shop. They should be able to either modify the cover or make something new that will go around the down bars.

I've gotta figure this out too. I have a $1000 tonneau cover that I really don't want to chop up just for a cage. But, I have my nitrous bottle in the bed, and soon the battery will be back there as well. I was thinking of selling this tonneau and getting something cheaper to cut up. Have the part with the bars fixed in place, and then have the back 2/3 or 1/2 hinged so you could still access everything.

Kinda like this....the holes are for the downbars. That part would stay fixed to the truck somehow. The dashed line is the hinge for the rear part to open.

That's a great idea.

Thanks Everyone for your input
Scream~ I like your idea. But I would like to be able to remove the whole cover if need be. I was thinking of having zippers from the holes to the cab so I could remove the whole thing at the track.

Ive seen a leather cover and from the bars to the window was a flap and had velcro on it, but zippers would work too
