Default Bye Bye Chrome!

Finally got around to doing some visual mods to my truck. Its an 02 RCSB that I bought back in April.

Over the past few months I've been doing a few things here and there, like painting/changing the grill, de-badging, LED gauge lights, etc...

Well today I decided it was time to PlastiDip my wheels. They were on there when I bought the truck, and they were the one thing that I wasn't too crazy about. (I'm not a big chrome fan...)

I really dig the way it came out. Really changes the overall look of the truck.

Here it is the day I bought it.

Thanks, Storm Grey is the best! Don't worry, I wont hold you're love of chrome against you.

Yeah, a roll pan is on the list. I'm still trying to decide on what to do with the front bumper. Either powerdercoat/paint it or get some sort of bumper cover.

Truck looks great but I wish you would have kept the chrome wheels , not a fan of the black in this case .
I'm glad ya plastidipped them and didn't ruin them.
Since you don't like chrome , take some gunmetal grey spray paint and paint over the Plastidip , that would look sick on your truck , I did this on my wife's Tahoe winter wheels and it holds up well.

Like said color match the bumpers too .

You came a long way nice work

Did you have any issues with the paint being brighter or having a ghost outline of the side trim after you removed it?

BTW, truck looks great!

the salt sucks with these wheels, so I decided to plastidip them which turned into dipping everything. Come spring time, I'll pull it off.

Lobo, I had a bit of ghosting when I pulled mine off, but I worked it a bit with some McGuire's 105 and I can't tell the difference now.
