Yes I did decide on what I was going to do with the back end. I'm going against popular demand here but it's getting a new tailgate and the bumper is going back on. I really thought about the situation and there were too many positives to go back to the bumper rather than keep the current setup. You can't see it in the pics but the back end looks like ***. It's rusted pretty severly, the result of poor prep work and poor painting. Basically everything the guy worked on is rusted and paint is literally peeling off said parts. I'll be having all of the plastic parts painted to match the truck. I got a quote from another body shop and they quoted me $500 to paint all involved plastics, the new (salvaged) tail gate I bought, and to respray the areas where the side molding was. Not to bad in my opinion especially since these guys are a well respected shop in the area.
