Think you forgot the "chrome" part lol

 

Yea i think so as well. Lol, going to do some more work on it tonight and wee what it will do.

 

I think like with niteshades the more coats the darker it gets .. Maybe two coats wud've still had chrome shining thru it?? But i wud def try n wet sand 1500 grit n buff out .. It will thin the blk layer and chrome shud shine thru ..

Definatly in for the black chrome look but it looks to have come out gloss black. I have looked into doing ALL of the chrome on my truck in a black chrome. bumpers side trim grill and all. The product you used definatly came out a gloss black color. it sounds like you were looking for a slight smoke color with the chrome which is what I was looking at doing. Let us know on your results!!! I am ABSOLUTELY interested in some sweet looking black chrome pictures!!!
