Hey guys, I took a drive out to my Chevy dealer and purchased an OEM Bowtie, I had plans to paint it black and put it on the front. Being that it was my first time doing something like this I bought a second one in case, I screwed one up. Either way, after getting the bowtie painted, I realized that my truck had 2 little threaded studs and 2 nuts that held it to the grill. The one I purchased had two little push tabs to hold it in. Needless to say, I couldn't use the one I bought so I ended up painting the one that came with the truck. If anybody needs or wants a black bowtie, let me know. It was intended for an '06 Silverado 1500HD, it's the exact same size, but the fastening method is different. I'm sure it'll fit other years too. Shoot me a PM.
