Default bedside question on sierra's

I have a 2003 stepside Sierra and i wanted to know if the bed could be swapped to a fleetside? and if so how, is it just bolted on or what type of cutting and welding is envolved? also which year trucks will the bed swap over ?

Will just bolt on, no problems. If you want to trade, I will drive there from Louisiana and we can swap, my fleetside for your stepside.
A 99-06 should fit no problem.Just make sure the 99 is a New body style and not the old body style.

i would trade you man but my left side has a crack and the roads around here arent that great so i want to swap to the the metal before it gets more cracks, the bedsides only cost me about 500 but i dont want to get into the habit of replacing them i already replaced the right side so its new. thanks for the info man, must say why do you want the stepside? the crack on the left side has been fixed so that it doesnt continue and the rear bumper covers it up

I can fix it if it isnt too bad. I would love to have the stepside. Always wanted one. Got a pic of the damage. If its just cracked, thats not a problem. I would just repair it when painting it to match my truck.

i think the only thing you have to swap would be the gas hose to the tank.
