Why wait?? I never understood that. If you wait 3 years, then start modding, when you break something you have to fix/upgrade it. It's no different if you start modding while it's still under warranty.

My Z28 had 300 miles when I started modding it. It didn't void the warranty(well, my mods weren't covered). Still got quite a few repairs done, and when the clutch started chattering, I just upgraded it. When the pinion seal leaked, they fixed it. When it leaked again, they found a nick in the housing, and replaced the entire rear axle housing, all under warranty. I gave the tech some 4.10's to reassemble it with.....

 

I know about the truck, lol 6.2l h/c/i should be a beast...

 

How you liking the transmission?

 

My parents just got a new 2011 Texas Edition ECSB 5.3L, I was in town last weekend and had to take it for a test drive I HATE that the trans is constantly shifting up/down while driving! But i do enjoy the fact that the trans will be the last problem with that truck.

Also, the damn door handle/grip thing hits my left knee while cruising. I like the 99-07 without that vertical grip thing.

Yeah Im not a fan either, the ltz interior has the tahoe style with a different handle so its not as bad.
Damn, I thought that was only the rcsb 4.8s

 

great, so all the money you saved you can just turbo the 4.8
