Default Anyone use LED's in driving lights?

I know there was talk of them a while back, but I know that people were running into problems with
1) them tending to burn out faster and
2) the fact that they weren't configured properly for reflecting off the housing vs just straight forward.

Just wondering if there has been any progress.

Interesting. I just checked superbrightleds, they have a new 25 bulb LED for the 3157's 19 of the bulbs point straight forward, and then they have 5 that on the backside of the housing that reflect off the reflective housing. It's funny though, when you look in th ebuy screen it has a little comment in there "Not for GM DTR's", must have had enough people call them about them last year.

halfway down, info for the picture showing the backward pointing lights http://www.superbrightleds.com/tail-brake-turn.html
