Default Anyone replace the bulb in the door window switch (99-02)?

Guys, last piece of the LED swap and I don't know how to get to the backside of this board to swap in an LED. Do I have to desolder that gang of pins which connect to the harness on the other side? This is the passenger side, but the driver's side is pretty much the same.

Andrew

You would have to unsolder the pins to get to the underside of the PCB.But, If thats the only Bulb, try breaking it off and soldering to the locations where the bulb was. Just make sure you know the polarity and voltage for the resistor.Good Luck

I thought about that but was treating it as a last resort. There isn't such a thing as a solder saringe is there where I can suck up the solder as I heat it so I can do those prongs one at a time if I decide to?

I've heard of the solder saringe tool, but I've never used one...maybe try a google search for solder tools or soldering techniques, etc.

Radio Shack has Solder Suckers, they also have Solder Wick, its a roll of copper braid that will remove Solder from connections. I have both of these tools, and on connections like this I would use the Solder Wick.

yep, that probably would have worked too. I ended up desoldering all the little pins, would have been easier your way, but for some reason I decided to do it the hard way. Bah, it's finally all done.
