Anodized colors
#1
I didn't like the color of my cal tracs when I painted them, so I found some new metal colors at Walmart for dirt cheap. They come in red, blue, purple, and gold. If you like anodized things, then you can do it yourself with these colors. Make sure that you use the brillant silver for a base coat before painting the color on. When you paint the color on, you can make it darker by adding coats of color. I used all the products in the photos, and even a coat of clear. I repainted my cal tracs with these and they turned out great. I could go crazy painting things in my engine bay with these colors, and I think I will. Here are some pics of the colors and repainted cal tracs.
In the sun, looks like a candy apple red.

Out of the sun, looks like an anodized red.

At least that's what the wifey says. It sits in an air conditioned garage with a cover over it, until it's ready for a sunday drive.
and when I happen to blow the carbon out.
