The dash is not something I would want to tackle, but I don't blame you for going from the tan to the dark graphite - dark graphite rules!! (No offense intended to you tan interior lovers).

Big job - go for it. Hey, don't forget the before, during and after pictures.

You are not alone! But I don't regret any of my purchases that I've researched here

As far as the dash goes, from what I've read, it isn't really that hard to remove, and it can be sanded and painted. Probably do a better job than the factory...my paint is peeling off all over the place. Luckily it's been in areas that you really can't see, but I know that it will eventually spread

I've thought about the vinyl die/painting thing, but I think I got a good enough deal on OEM stuff. I'm not getting the liftgate trim because the donor had barn doors. Maybe I'll look into die/paint for those pieces.

Thanks Greggo, I've seen your pics before. And I think I've read all the Katzskins threads, so I'd go with that.

Yeah ****, soup to nuts, the whole shooting match. If you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly

I just thought of a problem with just re-skinning the seats: front seatbelts and side airbags. I know in my '99 they did a recall to replace the tensioners , so I don't think it's impossible to find/replace those belts. But that airbag and trimpiece I'm going to have to replace somehow.

I've got to figure out how to post pics on my Comcast website.

"Installation is the reverse of removal"

Thanks,
Michael

I think you are crazy, but we have all done crazy things just because we can. That is part of it being yours. Do what you want. As long as you know what you are getting into before you start, it is your educated decision. Good luck
