I did that in my 03 Sierra, it ended up turning the fog light housing black in the middle from the heat...

thos fog lights must be different then the ones i have for my 02. i can only fit a little bulb in there

well 15 hours straight on pretty much I have no blacking of anything. the silverado 04 up fog lamp is different than the gmcs

That could be a factor as well, mine took a little while for it to happen but once it started it happened fast. It bubbled the chrome reflective crap inside of the fog light housing also. Hopefully it will work ok with the silverado setup, they were nice and bright thats for sure. Now that I think about it I think I was also using 100W bulbs as well, that didnt help any..

i think the blackening and melting happens in traffic...you know, without all the wind to cool everything off. i want to try something with my fogs because they are dim as hell but they are 110 per fog

2 MONTHS NO PROBS

2 weeks ago i towed my tbss to carlsbad 8 hours straight with the fog lights on and no melting issues at all. then 8 hours back on the entire way no melting no discoloration no probs at all.

what happens if you run into fog? then youre screwed...haha jfwy, that looks nice a crisp. im gonna have to check those out.
