Legit, I was hoping it was a more expensive lexus haha. Those old ones are cheap nowadays.

And your state has the cool cop cars, never see them chevy caprice's around here. Rarely do they show up in auctions.

Lol...

The funny part in all this is that the officer you see in the picture, had been behind us for about 3 miles.

Lol...that same Lexus almost sideswiped another car trying to get out and around a line of cars that was being held up because of someone turning left.

What year is your truck? They might total yours...

An OEM rear bumper and supporting hardware is nearly $1000. Same with a bed side.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was $2500 just in OEM parts that need to be replaced on your truck.

Reminds me of my current DD. I Fixed all in 4 hours with used parts in a parking lot no less...

It's a 2006 Xcab 2WD. I've thought about the scenario of it being totaled. It would not make me happy if they decided to do that. I'm not sure what my options would be with getting my money back for the new motor and all that jazz.

Upon checking, Georgia uses the TLF method to determine whether or not a vehicle is considered a total loss.

I looked at edmunds.com and they gave the following values for the truck in "good" condition:

trade-in: $5121

Private: $6126

dealer: $7545

It's entirely possible that it could be totaled.

I had my 04 duramax ccsb painted at a Maaco in the Tampa area about three years ago. I did all of the prep work myself. (Bondo, dent removal, sanded down clear coat, primer, final sanding etc) I removed the grill and plastics on bumper and told them exactly what I wanted. I got a deal through my brother in law and had the whole thing painted for 350ish There was some minor overspray, and some minor orange peel but overall it was a good paint job for less than 500 bucks.

Now I would just paint it myself or find a quality shop do it.
