The '69 progress (warning: lots of pics!)
#21
My head is swelling, lol. Thanks for all the compliments guys, really appreciate it.
There is still a ton to do of course, the interior still has a bunch of stuff missing (dome light, sill plates, visors, headliner, lighter, painted glovebox, etc.) fake_usa, it's funny you should mention the interior color because that is one thing that bugs me! The suede that is on the doorpanels, kicks and sub box had to be ordered, and was supposed to be dark brown to match the dash pad and arm rests, and I was going to get dark brown carpet to match too. The fabric I actually received was the color of the current carpet, so I tried it just to see if it would work. I will probably change it up later so I don't have the 3 tone thing going on. That way I will end up with only dark brown and light tan. Or I could change everything to black.
On the wheels, I am undecided. I may go with steelies and paint them to match, get chrome rallys, or maybe the Cragar Street Pros in a 17". It is hard to find something in the right lug pattern, backspacing and widths I am looking for.
I got rid of the in-cab gas tank (tired of smelling fuel every time I turned a corner); instead I have a fuel cell in the bed hence the need for the locking lid.
Unfortunately, the truck will probably be sitting at the parent's house for a good long while. I am starting a new career, heading up to Missouri next week and probably won't be back very often in the next couple months.
Thanks again!
John
