Default 4x4 Blocks removed!

After reading through Thunder550's thread about lowering his truck I couldnt help myself and also wanted to change my look you could say...Ive had the truck for about 2 years now so Ill post some pics from then to now...

This was about 2 weeks after I bought it...all I did was tint it really...already debadged and it had the exhaust on it so I just left it...

about 6-8 months later I scored a set of free 18s from my buddy and slapped em on the truck...made a big difference but still something still wasnt right...as u can see I put a headrack from my old truck on and looked ok the way the truck was set up but then I sold it...there was a lot of things I wanted to do to it but I was in college and broke so things were on hold u could say...

over the this past winter I picked up a set of 20s for $500 with tires and had my grille painted as well as clear parking lights and grille. I ditched the brush guard and it was the smartest move i have made yet!

since those last pictures Ive now taken out the 4x4 blocks out and taken some turns off the t-bars and Im very pleased with the way it looks...

I think Ive improved my photo skill a little bit too but I need a better camera...lol Im getting a set of LTs this weekend and will soon be put on and just got a 3 gauge pod and hope to put fuel press, wideband A/F and the last one is unknown yet(I need ideas!)and soon to come is a 02 PCM with a tune...

Certainly has changed since Ive gotten it and for the better I think...what do you guys think of it???

Thanks for looking

Very nice dude! Good call on ditching the cattle catcher. Yep, dropping a truck a little sure makes a difference. Lemme know how you like the LTs, that's my next mod I think.

Nice transition...I'd get some 2" shackles and maybe some lowering keys and bring it down a little more (actually, that's what I did myself )

Yea, it takes some getting used to, but now that I've been lowered for a few years, I want to go lower still. If I had any cash, I'd get some spindles and hangers for sure

Shackles and keys are pretty cheap, less than $200 for both IIRC. The shackles are very cheap, less than $80. I have Belltech stuff

I just went and got new u-bolts from the dealer...I didnt know if the old ones would work or not so I didnt want to get caught with my pants down...let me know if u want a part number because it will take u a half hour for them to get it...they asked for my VIN and it says obvi that its a 4x4...and he says what do u want...and I told him 2wd U bolts and he tells me it wont work blah blah blah if they ask I believe the ones I got were 180mm long...I guess it depends on ur rearend tho...

Yeah you have to use new ones. The 4wd ones are not threaded far enough to work without the blocks.
