I know part of the problem is the slicks worn. But, another thing I would like to know is if I would gain mph or lose it. If I can gain mph that would make it easier to run 10's.

I've done a 1.64 spraying a 50 shot out of the hole but since that time I have yet to see anything past 1.77. Will the 10" rims make that much of a difference? Right now it spins out of the hole and when the 200 shot hits. My reasoning for going bigger was more sidewall. Right now I hit the traps at around 6000 rpm. I want to spray my way to high 1.5s or low 1.6s.

I think 1.64 makes you the fastest 60 for the ecsb 2wd guys..looks like your gonna be the guinea pig on the tires.

BTW a wider wheel would only help.

I'm running 28'' full slick, with caltracs, stock shocks, and 4.10 gears. Aside from that I have a 2'' drop shackes. Do dragrace shocks work? Which one's do you use?

We run a very similar set up except I have the 30'' M&H, 3.90 gears, Caltracs and 2'' drop shackles as of right now I am runnin stock shocks maybe I will get some Qa1 shocks up front soon. Oh and I removed my overload spring also. I would think dragrace shocks would help us hook up.

How much do you think removing the overload helped?

I have some explorer no name shocks in the front of my truck and they have almost no rebound. I think they would work good at the track.
