Not all of them ride better than stock - I live about 20 minutes from the Mexico border, and you see all kinds of low rides down there that do this:

i think both of them have air cylinders, and if you put air in the exhaust port (normally left open) on the cylinder and release the air on the intake(fill) port you can lift the wheel like hydros.
