Appreciate the help! I'm just scared that I will have a huge gap

What size are your 16" tires now?

275/55R17
28.9" overall
719rpms
36lbs

255/70R16
30.2" overall
692rpms
34lbs

So you'll have a bit more gap between the tire & fender, 0.65", & your speedometer & tach might be off SLIGHTLY by a bit due to the more higher, 27 rpms, but probably no more than it mighta been already. And you'll be 8lbs heavier overall from just the tires plus whatever the wheel weight difference is.

Great help! So I am not looking for a big difference from what I have now?

I ran a set of General Grabber UHP's on my 04 GMC w/ denali wheels & Shackles, and spring clamps, then I also added 1" front drop coils. I thought it looked damn good. I'll try to post some pics.
