I'm with rob.
For me 20-22"s on a pickup and no bigger than 24"s on a suv. But lower it. It shouldn't look like you put a lift kit on your vehicle just from getting a set of wheels. I think 26" is too big for anything as there's no room for rubber. There's nothing more that i hate than Rubber Band tires.

I say keep your 24"s and get a good drop. It'll look like a whole new ride.
