Default 20" tire help!

Im going to order a set of wheels tommorow hopefully if I can decide on a tire.

I am going with a 2/4 drop next week. So what is the biggest i can put on their? I knwo i can search and will as soon as im done posting just wanted to throw the question out their.

MY BIG QUESTION. I can get nitto 404 for about 160 a tire. I dont knwo much about these types of tires. I want a tire with good wet manners. I have a posi rear end and need a good bite in the rain. I want them to last 25k miles or more! (is that asking to much on these types of tires?) dont want a low profile tire. Want good dry traction for stomping on it. and my 1-2 shift loves to chirp the tires I have now.

I can get the hankooks and falken(havnt good things of either, more \bad things then good really) for 115-120 a tire.

Thanks alot for the help in advance guys.!

I personally like a 275/45/20 with a 2/4 drop. I am running the hankook ventus and got them pretty cheap. A little less than 600 out the door for all 4. They have been great tires so far (about 10,000 miles or so). I would expect to get no less than 35-40k out of these tires. You can also run a 285/50 but I think they are a little bulky on that drop. a 265/50 will work as well. My personal favorite is the 275/45 though. Look at the pic of mine with that tire and a 2/4 drop.....you be the judge

I run Falken Ziex 275/45/20's. I like them, seem to be a great tire so far. I know they don't hook up too well though. If you're buying wheels & tires, stop by Wheel World in Jacksonville. I got mine there, and they beat everyone elses price by $200-$400.

I agree, I've seen plenty of trucks with 275/45/20's and they look pretty pretty nice. But if you're wanting more gap cover you can go with a 55 series and will looks like the SS silverado stock wheel combo.

The stock silverado SS size looks great on a 2/4. Do a search for 99Silver6.0's truck to see some pics. A 275/45/20 will be closest to stock height though.

275/45/20's for a 2/4 drop. also retains nearly stock height.
