Default 08 GMC Sierra LEDs

so I have several 5th gen Camaros and there was a write up on installing LED footwell strips to a toggle switch and wire them into the domelight wiring which was a gray wire above the gas pedal ...(which I have done and know how to do)

DIY : Footwell Lighting Install - Dome/Toggle Switch - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums - Camaro5.com

ive already installed blue LEDsin the cab lights but now what to install the footwell LEDs

my question is,...is the wiring for the domelight different in the truck than it is in the Camaro? and if it is who has done it and how,...thanks

idk if its different, but i put them in my 08 silverado and they were a breeze..i just ran them straight off of the switch, so when the doors open they or if i turn the **** for the dome lights they turn on..not sure as far as the toggle switch goes, but i would imagine u could use a relay to get a signal from the dome light switch, and wire that into the toggle switch and have the output from the toggle switch going to the leds..

I got them all hooked up ,tapped into the dome light wire and wired them into the fuse box also with a single pole, dual throw switch, so I have them coming on with the dome light all the time and if I want to,.. I can turn them on with the switch only....

oh and BTW they are different I found a link where the dome light is, and it is different
