i have a 2000 chevy silverado what all is involved in switching to 03 and up tailights

 

obviously youll need the 03' + taillights... and these wiring harnesses 16531401 and 16531402, ones the left and ones the right, make sure you specify that, $15 a pop. the new ones have four bulbs the old ones have 3 thats why the wiring harnesses need changed. one harness should be bout 5' (this is the passenger side) and other will be bout 3' (this is the driver side) long, just take your tails off, follow the harness back to the frame and unplug em there then run your newones through, its easy... youll have to buy another set of i THINK turn signal bulbs but all the other ones should swap over any more ?s pm me

actually save a few $$$ and the hassel of getting the harnesses and just follow this:

If you buy the tail lights brand new the harness and bulbs will come with them. otherwise you can do either of the above mentioned.

 

they harness and bulbs dont come with them less you pay the extra money, its gonna be liek $300 if you buy them with the bulbs, lenses, and harness's. buy em used on ebay shipped to your door for like $80 and buy the harness or do wat nick said

 

o unless of course you work for a dealer and can get a discount or your rich and dont care
