I was wondering if any one has ever put a 03 silverado clip on a 88-98ck? I'm interested in puttin one on....just curious if it bolts right up or if you gotta do some drilling? thanks.

 

It'll take alot more than "some drilling". They are not even remotely close to being similar dimensionally.

 

Yea, you can swap the 03+ frotn ends yo a 99-02 pickup, and some of GMs SUV, but 88-98 is a whole different body style.

any 99-07 style front clip will interchange
99-02 silverado/99-07 tahoe
02-07 escalade
02-up denali
03-up silverado

they all will bolt on from the fenders forward.

As for the 03+ front clip. It will work but you have to cut and mold the fenders a **** load and personally I think it looks like ****. Here's a pic:
