i didn't know you do tuning, im actually considering buying hp tuners myself and learn. Not sure if i can swallow $650 though for some software.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be having much time in the near future, so I think any performance stuff may be on the back burner I was thinking the 80 and converter might go in some time this summer
just lemme know,, im all up for some fabricating..
get EFI Live and i can help you from what i know..
Blackbearperformance.com,, Justin sells EFI Live and he can help ya..

i can get you tuned enough to drive it and get you back home..

Hey, you can weld? I'm actually in the process of taking measurments now for the crossmember so I could have it fabricated prior to the swap. I'm going to get another crossmember from the junkyard. I want to be able to go back to stock at any time. So far I've measured the 80e: from the front to the bolt that goes to the crossmember is 30 5/8".

As far as the tuning, this next weekend I'm having Zippy live tune my truck. He should be able to do the 80e segment swap for me. He's also putting my heads on.

The converter will either be a PI vig 3 disk 10.5 or circle d 3 disk 258mm (10.25"). Vig stalls to 3000 max, circle d can get theirs to 3500.

oh yeah, i forgot i need the hd2 kit installed in the 80 too.

the pi converter requires the pump to be pulled out of the trans and a spring installed on a valve to increase pressure...i don't like the idea of that...so im leaning to the circle d but it costs $200 more.

you talkin about the boost valve? you dont have to pull the pump to put it in.. atleast i didnt.. the HD2 is a peice of cake to install in the 80E.

i think it's called a limit valve, but dont quote me on that. The pump definitely has to be pulled.....Kysilverado has pics of it in his 4l80e project thread.
