The new Mustang v6s don't appear to be a joke, I've seen the auto has trapped 107, mid-low 13s.

But it still sounds like a V6, has a powerband like a V6, and everyone else knows you've got a V6.

What kind of cheapskate buys a "muscle car" with a V6 in it to save money and get better gas mileage?

Ford is completely owning GM these days, both in revenue and engine development.

Ford's new 3.7 v6 beats the 5.3 in acceleration, a real embarrassment for GM.

If you look at the big picture stock for stock it is not really an embarassment. We all know GM developed the 5.3 from the ls platform. What most do not know is the first ls1 designed to go in production was up and running in 1992.Which is the same year as the release of the Lt1.So at that particular moment in time GM had brought a knife(lt1) to a fist fight with a gun(ls1) stuffed down their pants.Soooo Ford proved to build a "STOCK v6" truck stronger GM's "STOCK v8"truck designed off a 18year old engine platform.Dont get me wrong I do respect Fords strong runnin v6 but,if you think GM has been caught with there pants down in this situation then you have bumped your head my friend.
It is still yet to be impressive in terms being competative in all out power potential. This is a lose lose situation for Ford to display power imo.Better to let the truck speak for it self in this case...Then again i guess its consistant for manufacturers and advertisments to make claims that carry loose credability for the sole purpose of kickin off the new product.
Bottom line to me is if that lil v6 starts propelling trucks to the 10's and 11's and cars in to the 8's and 9's then we can call a comparo...

I agree with this. I was thinking the same thing, they are comparing new ford engines with new technology to older LS based engines that have been out for awhile now lol. They have to get their 15 minutes of fame somehow I guess lmao.
