Default Titan Kill!?

Alright This Happened About A Week Ago Late One Night. I Was Driving On Arkansas Blvd. Fixing To Get On Loop 245 When A Ec 4wd Titan Blows Past Me. We Both Get On The Loop With Him In Front, I Pull Up Beside Him Running About 75 To 80. I See Him Punch It And Start To Pull A Little So I Punch It. But My Truck Just Stays In Third!! ****! I Know Its Supposed To Shift Down Cuz At Wot It Stays In Second Till 83? I Guess I Was Just Going Too Fast. Anyway I Punch It And Start To Pull On Him Until He Gets To My Rear Fender, Then I See Him Start Coming Back!!!!!! He Actually Gets About A Fender On Me Until About 110 Then I Start Pulling Him Again. When I Looked Down At The Speedo It Was Buried! I Finally Let Out When I Had About 1 1/2 Trucks On Him. I Was At Least Doing 125. We Got Off On The Same Exit And He Pulls Up Next To Me And Says Damn That Thing Pulled Me On The Top End I Cant Believe It. I Asked Him What He Had Done To His And He Hesitated And Said It Was Stock. My Question Is Do They Have A Speedo Gov. On Them From The Factory? Cuz If So What Is It? Cuz He Was Still Pulling At 125 It Didnt Cut Off. But All In All Those Titans Are Damn Stout. But From A Dig I Think I Would Be Able To Walk One Pretty Bad. What Do Yall Think About This?

Titans are speed limited to 116mph. Unless the new Unichip piggyback deletes this, there is no known way around it as the typical speedo boxes don't work on the CAN system the computers use on it.

Cat-back exhausts
CAIs
Throttle body spacers (if you think they work)
JBA shorty weld-in headers
Hi-po air filters.

Just recently Unichip came out with a piggyback programmer (they are big in the import car world).
Jet has a chip but it doesn't work (so I hear).

There are resonators on the mid-pipes between the cats and the y-pipe (it's a 2 into 1 system) that people replace with straight pipes since they are about 1.5" in diameter pipe size.
I just had the stock torque converter on mine worked to increase the stall but have shown no gain in 60' times at all. I also had the valve body worked but the torque control is keeping it at bay too.

As of right now there are no gears, posi's, shift kits, pulleys, long tube headers, heads, cams, intakes, or thottle bodies available.

Stillen is about to release a roots-type supercharger. Some day Nismo/Vortech will release a centrifugal. You can adapt a wet nitrous kit to the truck (I have a 50 shot) and I've heard one person did it with a dry.

The engine and transmissions have different computers so the Nissan will not be adjustable for both with just one programmer.

Sorry but I'm going to have to call a good ol' on this one. I don't think there's a NATURALLY ASPIRATED STOCK TRUCK out there that will hit 140MPH from the showroom floor other than a SRT-10 Ram. I maybe wrong but I just can't see it happening. Note, I said naturally aspirated, I'm leaving supercharged trucks out of this one.

Damn, 140mph!? Thats crazy, for stock they can go 140? The Lightnings stock top speed is 142mph might be gov. But theres no way a stock 05 Titan can reach 140mph ,right?

Well Im Not Going To Say That It Will Do 140 But I Know He Didnt Cut Off At 116. Cuz I Had Mine Buried At 120 And Was Still Pullin And He Wasnt That Far Behind. So I Know His Didnt Shut Off. But In Any Case It Really Suprised Me. But If I Could've Got That Down Shift Into Second I Dont Think I Would've Seen Much More Of Him!!

How accurate is your speedo? I know mine's off even with the stock wheels/tires.

The 05 has the same ECM and programming so I'd be surprised. Not doubting what you saw on the speedo, Kevin, but I really doubt it was going that fast for real. Is your tranny-eater done yet? I'd like to see you jump into the 12s!!!
