a guy i hang out with claims his srt4 runs mid 12's. it has alot of upgrades and nitrous. we always play around from redlight to redlight, mostly from a roll and i stick right next to him from a 20 roll and pull some when he shifts, and i usually shut down just a little after 2nd....last night he tells everyone that he made me his bitch last week(literally a ricer flyby), and that he always pulls me. so i called him out on it. he wouldnt race without his beloved nitrous, and wanted to go from a roll. i finally talked him into 2 motor runs and 2 runs where he can spray. all from a dig.

i won both times with enough room to comfortably take his lane at 100mph he opened the nitrous bottle and the psi was too low so he never sprayed on me. thank god

 

damn... I just wouldnt like to run against your truck then Stew... that thing is a beast if you are killing SRT's their downfall is that they just dont make any decent torque... you have to spin the hell out of it and the turbo to really make it do anything...

Huh? They make 260-270 TQ at the wheels, that's really good for a 3klb car.

If you can keep up/pull one with boltons and juice you're running at least 110mph in the 1/4. Whats mods you have done? Is it at least a 50 shot?

I can agree with you there, but most if not all ricer 4 bangers just cant compare to the power that a good v-8 puts out, its fooloish to try to go fast with a 50% disadvantage but a fart can and wing make up for it!

my best run at the track was a 13.80 @ 97 on slicks. .01 off of the fastest n/a 5.3 ecsb, and i have a smaller converter and havent even put a wrench on the motor yet. since then i lost the rear bumper for a rollpan, and added an asp underdrive pulley. my truck just takes good to boltons i guess. hell, im still on the factory cam hoping for 13.5 n/a. i didnt think i had anything left in the tuning, but allen wants me to go over to SA so he can hook up the wideband and get everything perfect i will be fastest na ecsb 5.3 damnit!

im sure the driver had some to do with it too. he did the honkin and usually the honker gets a little bit of the move. im just glad i put him in his place after he was runnin his mouth

white, dont be afraid of them from a stop. your the threat from a dig they dont launch for ****. from a roll may be a different story

 

Some of those SRTs can be pretty mean.A friend of mine was driving my truck w/ me in it of course.Anyway a orange SRT rolled up in the fast lane and wanted to run.We went from a 70 punch and only got about a car and a 1/2.I later saw the same kid at the usual street race hang out and he had a good amount of money put into it.I made the mistake of running a modded one from 30,which my truck falls on it's face at,and he got me by about a car.
