I can burn the rears at 35mph but have not been able to get more than a chirp running all 4 with ~8.5lbs.on a dry pavement. What do you run in the 1/4?

Mine rips em loose at about 35 too. I can only smoke the fronts in a 10 psi boost launch, can't tell if the rear are ripping loose too cause the fronts are so distracting. But, Trever1t my truck is slower than yours

Are the numbers in your page 440tq/400hp awhp accurate? That's pretty impressive if you can lose traction on all four like that. My guess is your putting out alot more than that. Great job and you'll get him next time.

I beg to differ..not in a mean way...

THese are the specs to the 2008 SL65 AMG
MSRP$187,975*
EngineAMG-built biturbo 6.0L SOHC 36-valve V-12 engine
Net power604 hp @ 4,800 rpm
Net torque738 lb-ft @ 2,000 - 4,000 rpm

THe Black edition is not anymore powerful but it has a few weight reductions; one example is that it has a "rear-seat delete" meaning it has a place for one but there isn't one.

I don't doubt your truck one bit, I KNOW you would cream me, but these things run low 11s second 1/4 mile. I think he was playing with you until the one time he actually did hit it, for a second and then pulled you a couple cars.

Your very lucky to have seen a "black" edition in the first place, they are VERY rare. they are even more expensive than the one listed above.

Sorry to doubt... It aint against you but I've ridden in a s63 amg and it was sick. thats my reason for doubting he was really giving all it had.

Actually you're close.I started to second guess myself and it says it's a bi-turbo V12.I figured by bi-turbo it meant twins.
