I def think it would have been diff without all that weight... those things weigh more than the rcsb 99-02 trucks i beleive. And ya, its a 6.0. My uncle has an 04 in red... has only 625 miles on it.. its a garage queen... hopefully he'll ball up and race me one day and i'll get it on video... but nice race tx.

Not quite sure... the new ones for this past year are 400/400 (thts the 6speed ones), or 390/400 (auto ones)... i think the one that was before this had 345/345? Not quite sure. Do you know if it was an 05 or 04... my uncles is an 04, dont think its the ls2, its quick, but not as fast as i would like it for almost $40K or more.

Chevrolet is still selling brand new 03/04 5.3 Auto SSR's and 05 6.0 auto and 6 speeds. I know that they have over 5000 new 03/04 SSR's still in inventory at least that is what they said before the employee pricing. The 03/04 SSR is about 2.5 seconds slower in the quarter then the 05. You would have probably beat him (03/04) if you were not loaded down, they have 300 HP from the factory. The 05 LS2 with 6 speed is down right fast (5.2 0-60 and 13.89 1/4 mile) mine is in for a Radix at Magnuson Products right now. It pulled 340 RWHP on the before dyno, I want to see what it pulls after the Radix.

do yall think a set of LT headers would give me enough to stay ahead of that ssr after the 3rd switch? im tired of having people pull back next to me/pass me after i switch to third

all of my power seems to come in at the top end of my rpm range. i guess the rpm's fall off too much on my 3rd shift. 3rd gear is probably where wind really starts giving me some resistance.

for instance. last weekend bbls1 and i took it from a roll a few times. same results every time. 30-40mph starts. first gear we would stay next to each other, 2nd i would pull a little ahead but when i hit 3rd and he was still in 2nd (gear difference) he would slowly start to pull back. i managed to hold him off but it still annoyed me that the 4.8 was gettin back at me on the top end.
