2nd gear lasts til 50-55mph....and 3rd gear takes me to 95mph.
thinkin about putting some 17's on mytruck with good tires and 4.56 gears...
cant decide whether to lift/lower/go faster....i need 3 trucks

You've got an awesome truck to build, that 4-wheel drive will let you come off line and down the strip w/no wheelspin during shifts. I have a peg leg with the same gears and off nitrous spin at least 400ft down track, and on nitrous i have a measured 537ft black mark from just 3rd gear and then about a 25ft in 4th.

wow lol.
yeah i plan on lowering it abit with some 17's and nice meaty tires all around. than im gonna build up a 6.0 block. but the lowering/wheels coul dhappen in a year...however the 6.0 block will be 2-3 yrs...lol unless i find a better job sometime soon...

my 3rd gear feels like it takes forever....but i love my 2nd gear
however i think 4.56's might be to much...might just go with 4.10's and some stock size tires or maybe slightly smaller diameter tires.
