What gears do you have in yours? I got 3.73s and i'm still spinning one and i can't drop down and nail it under 50 either.

Okay..that makes sense. If I am racing in my dodge I always put it in 4hi. I beat almost everything off the line after that it goes either way.

3.73s.

2nd gear lasts til 50-55mph....and 3rd gear takes me to 95mph.

thinkin about putting some 17's on mytruck with good tires and 4.56 gears...

cant decide whether to lift/lower/go faster....i need 3 trucks

You've got an awesome truck to build, that 4-wheel drive will let you come off line and down the strip w/no wheelspin during shifts. I have a peg leg with the same gears and off nitrous spin at least 400ft down track, and on nitrous i have a measured 537ft black mark from just 3rd gear and then about a 25ft in 4th.

I don't think that this is a bad idea as long as you're not too concerned about gas mileage. I went from a 3.73 to a 4.10 but I think a little more gear wouldn't have hurt anything especially if you are planning to run taller tires. Either way you guys will REALLY like 3rd gear with a lower gear change.

my 3rd gear feels like it takes forever....but i love my 2nd gear

however i think 4.56's might be to much...might just go with 4.10's and some stock size tires or maybe slightly smaller diameter tires.

yeah the beginning of my 3rd feels a little sluggish, but it's 75-100+ pull is crazy fast, esp. on the juice. JM, you been to the track lately and got any times?
