what do you think about raising tq. conv. lockup point to 55-60mph in 4th? I freaking hate how my truck locks up at 40-45mph it makes it a dog when getting on the highway.

Doesn't it about snap your neck when it locks?

No, I have it set so it wont lock until I relax my right foot or I reach an appropriate speed. For example I have it set to lock at 44mph right now at something like 30%tps or less. The lock is solid and noticeable but not jarring.

I've been a die hard manual trans freak for years, mainly due to the old school slush boxes that were unpredictable on downshifts, converters other than stock were crap (if you had a 3000 stall it wouldn't even move until you got close to that). But with the tunability of the electronic controlled trans, you can make it do whatever you want in whatever situation almost. And with the A6's out now, I wouldn't be surprised if I own one in the future.

This thread also makes me miss my mp112. That tq below 3000 was amazing....even with my old 4.8 that put down 445/489.
