I currently have the 2.94's. and will most likely get a roots style blower. Would you be overly concerned about going to 3.36 (4.10 4-spd equiv) or would you stick with what i have? I am putting in a detroit trutrac in May...if it would benift me any by going with 3.36 ..i would like to do it all in one pop while the rear end is taken apart...if i would do that my my speedo would be off. Like switching to shorter tires

The reason for me asking is i noticed most of the ford lightning guys are running 3.73's and some 10 second rides are even running 3.55's they have a similar blower config that i am looking into.

Also is it a general rule "the more torque you can make over a wider rpm range, the less gear ratio you need". Wonder if that is the reason that lightings don't go up to 4.10's? I gather this from the folowing article..http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/68560/

Sorry for all the questions....Thanks Again!

Here is a dyno from a Supercharged Titan that dyn'ed with 22's....
I personally would stay with the 3.73 due to the fact it will pull a lot better on the top end if you were staying N/a i would say get the 4.10 or 3.36 but since your goin to get blown stay with the gears you have trust me the truck will pull way better up top where you spend most of the time when your racing. The titan has good enought low end so the 2.94 is perfect unless you get a bigger wheel than you can go to 4.10.

Default 04 Titan Crew Cab vs. Chevy's

Well Dad gave me crap about buying a Titan being foreign and all...He's been a Chevy man since the Chevy II days. The other day we had to got somewhere and I drove. He said damn this is big inside...he drives a 04 Sub...I said I know and asked so you like it now... he says no...LOL

Anyway I raced two chevy's 04/05 1500's at HRP...
1. 04 4x2 xcab - K&N, Flowmaster, and TB
Result 15.20 vs 15.22 (me) - great race
2. 05 4x2 4dr - K&N, Magnaflow, TB
Result kill, Guy pissed wouldn't talk to me afterwards.

My mods at time of run Volant CAI and Banks Monster exhaust. We need an LSD and Detroit/Eaton has stepped up so traction will no longer be an issue.

I can only hope that the aftermarket will soon support our choice of truck. The supercharger is a great start!! I also applaud Gale Banks for their first ever foreign performance part...make me wonder if they might have something to do with the new diesel in 2009??? Hmmmm...
