Had to show a Mustang what the Syclone can do
This was the night before the SRT10, really my first kill with my truck in the 4-5 years I've owned it (no one ever seems to want to play around my area)
So Friday night, I go out with my wife for a couple beers with a few of her co-workers. (I had A beer so no worries later in the story) So afterwards, we were going to head back to our place for a couple more drinks. A new co-worker of my wife's had never really heard of the Syclone so I offered to give him a ride back to our place and wife went with her other co-workers.
So we take off down the road, I give him a taste of the boost launch. He seems impressed. So we go down this side road and end up on a two-lane highway. It's dead, so I take it up to about 110 and back off and coast to the light coming up. As I'm coming up to the light I see a Mustang (late 90's(?)) in the right lane, I'm in the left lane behind a Honda SUV. I'm like 'dam Honda is my way' (LOL).
So we all take off sedate-like and at the next cross-road the Honda turns left. So I boost it up a little and pass the Mustang. He hits it, so I'm pretty sure he wants to play. I was already in front of him when he hit it and he didnt catch up at all. But whaddya know, the light up ahead turns red. I look over at the Mustang and the guy says he was just at the local track and ran a 14.1. I told him I've run a 13.5, then felt a little sorry for him but I had to show my wife's co-worker what a Syclone can do. So I boost it up to about 5psi and as soon as the light turns grean, I'm gone. Got a good 3 car lengths on the Mustang by the time I shut down at about 90 and he wasnt catching up at all.

the syclone was the blazer with the 4.3 and the turbo setup off a GN, right?
i've always wanted the 2wd s-10 one. cant remember the name.... tornado?
