So tooling back to work from taking lunch today and I spy in my side mirror a yellow C5 Vette. I wanted to see what kind of poop the 6L had against a LS1 C5 vette. I couldn't tell you the year, trans or even if he had mods. It was just a Yellow C5 LS1 powered vette. At any rate, I slow down to around 60 to let him catch up to me, once he was next to me I threw a few revs at him, he ignores me. I drop it down into 3rd and do a few 60-80MPH runs. Still no bite. I'm thinking to myself go figure, another snobby vette owner who drives like a grandma. I continue cruising at around 70 and then he decides to **** can it and do a ricer flyby. By the time I saw him he was at my pass door, I shifted from 5th to 3rd again and by the time 3rd was engaged he was about 40-60 feet in front of me. I showed 3rd no mercy and took it up to 110MPH, at 110 I was just inching on him, when I hit 4th I was reeling him in pretty hard. We shut down around 125 and he was back at my pass door. I went to give him a wave but he wouldn't even look at me. I just had to chuckle. Now to get a better intake manifold that's better suited for my combo and it would have been a better victory

Nice kill! I wouldn't stereotype Vette owners as snobby people who drive like a grandma. I usually don't give trucks the time of day either. Maybe 1 out of 20 trucks that try to race actually have *****. But now thanks to you, he is going to be even more hesitant to race trucks now!
