Seen a red 5.9 RT Ext Cab in ATL on Friday and he wanted a little race. So from a 70mph roll I nailed it and pulled her down to 2nd gear. I took off and by 100 mph I had 2 - 3 truck lengths on him. When we made it to stop and go traffic and he asked me if it was supercharged... I just smiled and rolled the window up... then merged onto I285.

What are the numbers on the dakota R/T's anyways? I always thought they looked fast but really dont' know anything other than that. Are they mostly hype?

I had a single cab dak that ran 14.7 with exaust CAI and it was the single cab 4.7.

 

Not all of them.

 

The 5.9L can be a very potent package, it just didn't come fast stock.
