I raced my buddies new 5.0 boss intake, cat deletes, I think corsa exhaust. Some new tune. Went from a 40 roll to about 150 and I was ahead by a few cars. He went 12.9 with slicks and mufflers. With the mods I listed above all be had managed to get now is a 13.0

 

He sucks at driving or the tune is junk. They run 13.0stock

 

its all in the 60ft. times ive seen them run in the 14s alot with too much wheelspin. i ran a supercharged 5.0 560rwhp last year with stock cam n/a 5.3 and had him to the 1000ft. mark then he blew by. my 13.9 to his 13.1@119mph.

 

119mph is pretty low for that power level. There are numerous heads and mild cam F-Bodies trapping higher.

 

This is the best advice you will get. What makes things worse is that I have a feeling you will be racing in mexico. A stock 5.0 mustang can trap 112 mph. It takes a quick truck to trap that. Especially on nitrous, do not expect to pull that car. I would say your only hope is to out 60' him or add some big power. A big converter, tire, and some concrete would be your best friend right now.

 

Juice or boost.... but agreed ull have to get him off the line or ull have a bad day. F.B.O with heads 220 cam and 3200 stall they would walk me. Now I can real em in pretty good but N/A against a stock one still be a hell of a chore

Thanks for all the replys guys we will eventually line them up but im sure it'll be at Milan drag way. I emailed Justin at black bear about updating my tune for the gears, and possible the nitrous, but I would like to make sure I have every thing I need to be safe with the juice. I would also like to put my l92 heads on but am in need of an intake and cant seem to find one.
