Default 418 powered Z got drug by a ricer and a few other races

Well I havent driven my truck in a while but I had to use it to drive down to Houston this weekend. Well I now remember why I parked it till the new trans cause I cant keep my damn foot out of it. Well first kill was a brand new paper plate TBSS I put about 4 lengths on him to 100 and that was leaving in 2wd on shitty tires spinning till about 30. Next was a auto Z28 with atleast exhaust from a 60 roll till 120 or so I starter about a truck behind him and was even when we let out the trans slipped BAD into 3rd and the rest of the way till I let out. Had an rcsb HEMI that thought he could keep me from getting over after the red light since my lane ended well I put it in 4hi and proceeded to put him in his place. Next was a black SRT8 which I must say ran really well I only put a length on him from 0-120 which the trans was slipping on every shift and third was slipping all the way through as usual. The last race was the first loss I have suffered since the 418 has been in and th eoutcome wouldnt have been any different if the trans was rock solid and the tune was right. I was driving down 45 to Nasa Rd 1 and there was a black Supra cruising and thought what the hell might as well play with him. There was about a 1/4 of a mile of open road ahead of us and I punched it a little well he started messing with me. We slowed down to about 50 and I could hear him brake boosting so we hit it and by 100 he had about 8 lengths on me. Needless to say I got owned I had seen him before at a couple of the "car shows" but next time I may have a little somethin for him. *cough* *300shot*

All of this was on a pig rich tune and a slipping built 65e. The tune is basically a break-in tune and is going to be dialed in later this week once i get my new O2s in, and about a month from now the 80e will be in.

For some reason its not slipping as bad I actually went WOT 2-3 and it didnt hit the rev limiter so IDK what the hell is up. Im still doing the 80e but I think I may run it at the track on teh 19th since White1 has some 28" true slicks I should be able to hook in 2wd.

Pulls harder than my 5.3 when it was cammed and had a 150 shot on it. That is until the shifts when it slips. Its not so much top end power as it is instant torque. I can just stab the throttle real quick to the floor and as soon as it hits the floor let up at anything under 20mph and it spins them. From a stop in 4hi before the trans was slipping it would spin all four for 20 feet on sticky concrete. First gear is gone quick and second the speedo just buries till a little over 100 where I shift into 3rd and it pegs the speedo like its nothing. It really is like oh **** Im already doing 120 I am used to haveing to wait for a long time between 100-120 but the 418 gets there quick Ill get some in cab videos once I get the trans in, tuning done and the nitrous working.
