Specs on Sierra: 5.3 222/230 113+1 cam, hp tuners, Muffler, 4.11s and a true track. Sierra still has stock manifolds, stock converter, and the clutch fan. The ram is a 2011 5.9, 6spd, 3.92 truck. He said it was all stock, but you know how that goes Kinda thought my truck ran better than that.

WAY too much cam for your setup. A cam that size needs some more comression, needs headers, and certainly needs a good sized converter. If you had all that, you would pull him easily.

So you raced a Cummins swapped truck with a 6 speed stick huh, lol. Being it's a normal Dodge it's a 5.7 and still the same lame old 545RFE. I guess you can kind of call it a 6 speed since it has 2nd and 2nd Prime....... But for 2012 that's exactly what Dodge is doing and rebadging the thing as a 6 speed calling it a 65RFE.

2011 however is still labelled as a 5 speed auto.

You are correct. I rushed through the post. 5.7 HEMI. I don't know that much about the hemis, but he kept on saying it was the 390/407 hemi. Ive heard it called both a 5spd and a 6spd.

I also agree with this. Just broke at the time. Supporting mods will be on the way when funds allow. I got the cam for a good price so I couldn't pass it up. I also thought it would be a good cam for nitrous. Which will be a possibility in the future.

Rhino79, have you ever done any tuning around the Jonesboro area? I've heard of a few people here that have gotten their rides tuned from a guy near cabot. A f body and some other things if I remember correctly.

He's just giving the factory horsepower and torque numbers there. It's the same for all the 2009 and up Dodge Ram's, and thus far the powertrain hasn't seen any changes worth mentioning. Like I said, the 545RFE does have six forward speeds but when left it drive it doesn't use both all the time. They use a 1.67:1 ratio second gear for upshifts and a 1.5:1 second for downshifting. On my old 09 if you manually shifted the trans you could go through both while upshifting but it's kind of silly being they are so close.

Programming changes for 2012 allow for them to call it a "6 speed".

That's is ridiculous. Why 2 different ratios for upshifting and downshifting? Doesn't make sense to me.

To Daytona81. We need specs

It's a Dodge, who really cares, lol. Better passing ability for a transmission that really has 700R4/4L60E ratios and one extra overdrive.
