Saw this nice looking mustang at the gas station and I asked him how it ran... He said it runs pretty good, so I responded with "I always wanted to see how bad a new gt would beat me". He laughed and I told him I had heads and cam, then he popped his hood he had bbk heads and small cam and nitrus.

We jumped in and at about 20mph we nailed it and by the time I hit 2nd gear I was about 4cars ahead of him!!!! We stoped at a stoplight and he told me I was moving good. I told him to spray it this time and we went to about 10 mph and nailed it and I took off again even more so than before... I'm sure this guy just didn't know how to drive

 

do you run in 4wd? I'm finally getting my 6.0 dialed in and even with the stock cam, from any speed in 1st gear it just spins when I punch it. I can't even imagine cammed with a stall as in your case.

Also how do you like the trickflow heads? I'm thinking about a set, but I hate the thought of having to use aftermarket rockers, as they wont be as reliable as stock.

 

So your saying that you outran a 13 sec car stock, that had added BBK heads AND a cam by four cars. THEN outran him on nitrous too?

 

I'm saying I smoked his *** without spraying.... Then when he sprayed he ran worse..... So therefore something obviously didn't go as planned for him.. I have no idea what happened

 

I guess he spun. Usually someone who bought a new car, then modded it with heads/cam and nitrous, wouldnt skimp on tires. I would expect it from someone who bought a vette or equivalent and did that.

 

Yes I run in auto 4x4 then switch to 2wd on the fly. I love my trickflow heads! I would highly recomend them! For example I ran a 14.0 on cam only, then after my head work ported tb efans and underdrive pulley I ran 12.9. I'm guessing at least .7 seconds was due to the heads and i'm sure on a 2wd it would ve an even bigger gain.

As far as rockers I havnt heard Any problems with the yella terra shaft mounts. The definatly did quiet everything down
