05 CC 5.3 vs. C5 vette
I was riding with my friend in his 05 Crew Cab 5.3 when we found a stock C5 corvette with aftermarket wheels and we took off halfway fast from a redlight (that was green ) and the guy started laughing (he had his targa top off) and punched it and blew by us (we were not trying to race). So my friend got next to him at 40mph (3.23s..drops to 1st from punch) and both punched it 3rd honk and we pulled about half a truck to 80 then he started to yank on us and he put one on us to 95mph. Pretty exiciting race because it was almost a C5 vette kill! He has exhaust, tune, 150shot, spraying through shifts (built tranny).

Close one. Bigger cubes for more power will equal vette kills. More nitrous will help too. It would be pretty tough to actually beat a vette on suspension set up and aerodynamics. I'll choose more power in my truck for now.

yeah its hard to beat a vette when chevy gives them the aerodynamics of a paper airplane and they give the trucks the aerodynamics of a cinderblock and the weight to boot! my silvy short box 2 seater weights in at 4500 without me in it! now i've switched my bumper over to a xenon cover and picked up a little over a 15nth on the quarter... could be weather, fuel, driver, but i like to think aero.....
