Man, I hope you get it dialed in soon. I need more of that sound! Very cool.

Me too. I have a **** ton of stuff on order which I hope to get installed during my Christmas vacation. New RPM trans, Circle D converter, giant surge tank fuel system, front and rear gear swaps with a front carrier upgrade. Just need the time to get it all done.

Got some more drive time in it. Going really well so far. The first image shows boost response on a tip-in with the SC bypass solenoid at a fixed 67% duty cycle. It draws a little bit of vacuum on the intake pipe (shown in the SCIAP trace) and generates about 9psi from blower only. Then the turbo responds and gets rid of the intake pipe vacuum. The second picture shows the gradual decrease in supercharger contribution to total boost as the turbo gets moving and pushes the SCIAP boost higher. The slight dip in MAP right before the cursor in the second picture is my current controls exiting the combined supercharger/turbo mode, going turbo only and dumping as much supercharger boost as possible. There is residual pressure beneath the rotors that is almost exactly 1.5psi any time the supercharger goes into full bypass. It is impossible to get rid of this completely because some pressure must be there to force air through the bypass valve. But not compounding the turbo boost and just bypassing as much as possible is worth a ton of power. More to come when I crank the blower up all the way and optimize response

Meh, looks slow. Do you have that wideband on a trailer behind the truck or what? Looks like a year for it to get signal

Lol pretty much. I can't even approximate steady state well enough to populate error values because of the delay 😆

Just about have the blower response dialed in. Need to adjust the software to allow better control of the boost oscillation and then tune the loop. After that I'll focus on the turbo boost control since right now it is just acting like a dumb boost controller with a fixed duty cycle. It responds pretty damn well already...I imagine some better fuel and the wastegate boost control changes will wake it up even more.

Long story short, the rear mount pissed me off so I ripped it out, took the blower off, sold it and am putting the turbo in the grill and installing a Holley hi ram with one of those sandwich air to water intercoolers. I'm at the point where working on it all the time to make unique things is getting old and I'd just like to make it fast. I'll probably put a TMS 427 in it once I get the new turbo kit wrapped up.
