Haha thanks man I appreciate it. It's been a fun truck to build but I'm looking to buy some property so the truck might go to a new home. But I do have an Instagram just search Steelcityb00m.

Just a little update... I’ve changed and or gotten a ton of stuff done. Never fails I get the truck under its own power then decide to make a bunch of changes (Holley, Non intercooled, Meth, etc.) I was getting annoyed that the truck was so nice inside and out but couldn’t stand that the frame looked like **** with all the factory undercoating. So I decided instead of tearing my truck apart to have the frame blasted and coated, I’d find a frame and basically build a “new” truck from the ground up. Ended up finding a really nice roller (frame and suspension only) stripped it of everything and had it soda blasted and powder coated. Here’s a few progress pics. Got an AFP shock relocation welded up and ready for Vikings. Also finally got everything to finish up the g body front end (control arms, spindles, brakes) hopefully I can keep this thread updated regularly no that parts are finally arriving. Still waiting on my mono leafs from Calvert but those should be her by the end of the week. Once they’re here I can get the rear end in and everything buttoned up. Then it’s brake line time, which should be easy since everything will be -3an just have to measure everything out. Also planning on getting this thing street legal soon and enjoying it rather than having to trailer it everywhere.

I really like this build and it scares the hell of out me too. I've been wanting to at a minimum take the bed off my truck and have the rear frame blasted/cleaned up but then I think to myself how much more would it take to remove the cab and front clip. I'll be stripping alot of the OEM engine wiring out in order to run a Holley as well but want to keep the radio, A/C, cruise, and add power windows/locks all on the factory ECM if I can.

Hell of a job and I may be asking some questions as I like what you've done.

That would have been the next steps for my build, had I decided the keep the truck. I will live vicariously through you.

Nice work on the frame and I am jealous of the space you have to work. I do have a few questions though...

What are the particulars on the control arms? The pics look like the lower ball joints are canted to provide a lot of positive caster. What ball joints are to be used with them for the g-body spindles? Could these arms be used with the truck spindles with a different ball joint?

Why did you cut out the middle cross member? Any intentions to reinforce it there? Seems like that would allow for more frame twist. What are the plans for the fuel tank now that cross member is gone?
