AC will be added eventually. i dont think i will notch the frame to fit it into the factory location though. the few that i've seen with notched frames end up with problems finding an AC line to fit witht he factory control arms. i will probably just get the CPW ac relocation kit and put the compressor up top.

parts to find:

8.5 or 8.8 rear end with 4.10 gear and tru-trac (may punish the 7.5 for a while)
mono leaf and cal-track and rancho shocks (may run stock for a while)
wheels/tires (15x10 and 15x4) (may run stock for a while)
trans-brake and pay vince to rebuild/upgrade my 60e
drive shaft (may run stock for a while until 8.5 is located)
radiator and fans
drop/wheels&tires pending on which rear end i go with.
cam sensor
crank sensor
flex plate
converter
oil pressure sensor
plug wires
fuel regulator

Well of you take away all te stuff you may wait on then you have one crazy *** bone stock s10 with a nasty motor lol.

I know how you feel on truck progress. I have a stock pile of parts and the motor an trans and everything for my new build but I haven't touched one thing on the truck since buying it.

i'm really just waiting on he trans, converter and headers before i drop it all in. or atleast the funds for the rest of the transmission build. The fully built 60e on a trans brake is definately going over my originally planned budget of a stock 4l80e on a shift kit. it will be worth it in the end.

i did get some work done on the silverado last night. the helper bags are installed, so the truck will be ready for paint in the next week or 2 (whenever i get a chance to drop it off at the body shop). i still need to run the lines for the bags and put the bed back on. since everyone here seems to like looking at welds, critique away. everything is welded instead of bolts.

Id say those welds look pretty good for MIG. Gonna be a fun little truck when all said and done. Gotta love a "truck" that weighs under 3500# soaking wet. I think the curb weight on a rcsb s10 is like 3100#.

those are my dad's welds. mine would be MUCH MUCH worse! i can weld, but i'm nowhere near as good as my dad...and with something like my truck ill step aside and let the ol man take care of it. he calls my truck a piece of ****, but i think he secretly enjoys it. he used to tell all of his friends about it back it the trucks hay day.

he's already hating on the s10 and he hasnt even seen the truck yet.

not the s10, but the new s10/rzr tow truck is almost ready. bags are done and bed is on. taking it for a fresh paint job soon i guess. it's nice to have my good wheels on it all the way around again. it's been sitting on spares since late october/early november since the wreck.

quick demo
