Default Turbo'd Tundra

This:
https://www.turbokits.com/2007-2021-...kit-600hp.html

Is going in this:

My 2018 Tundra. 5.29 gears with true dual equal length 3" exhaust. Turbo is a precision LS7675 T4. Going with some Deatschwerks 650cc injectors and water meth. This kit is brand new and is only out there on 2 other trucks I'm aware of so still in the testing phase. I needed some speed and it was either this or a corvette and a corvette can haul 2 kids around so here we go. Planning on road tripping towing the rzr in March to Arizona so it's going to get a work out. Kit delivers Friday.

I know nothing about these trucks.

What do you think your WHP will be? How will the engine/trans handle it?

Superchargers were factory options for the 5.7 tundra. They respond quite well to boost and the transmission is capable up to 600hp’ish. I say ish because failures start to occur around then. Tundra performance isn’t a major thing because most tundra owners care about being wanna be overlanders and spend 10-20k in overlanding crap to use it once or twice a year. I prefer burnouts and stop light races and mine is used as a daily and tow mule.

Dyno tests have shown 580 or so to the wheels with this kit. Should make for a helluva daily driven tow pig especially when I drop from 34” tires to 33” tires that are 10lbs lighter each.

I hope you have a good fuel rewards card. Curious if the turbo actually improves the out of boost mileage though. Should be fun for a daily and definitely something different.

I work remote so not concerned but I hear ya. From what I’ve talked to, they get the same 12ish unloaded.

Super sick man. I honestly thought they’d make more power than that though. Wonder if you’d get into the 12’s with this set up. Did you re gear it to that? If so why so short?

This truck weighs to much for 12’s. I may run it though and see what it does run for fun. Its primary purpose is daily driving and towing my rzr. 600hp on 7-8psi is pretty solid.

It comes factory with 4.30 gears. The transmission gearing is taller than anything Chevy offers so it’s offset by the lower rear gears. With the 34” tires and 5.29’s, I’m running essentially 4.88’s with factory 31’s. So not a lot bigger than stock. That’s another reason I’m dropping to 33’s is to gain a bit more gearing. The 5.29’s allowed me to tow in 5th instead of 4th and gained me a solid 2mpg towing with no impact around town.
