Default Turbo truck repair and build!

A guy brought me this to do a lot of work on a few weeks ago that consumed way too much of my time. Half the project was fixing things that the previous owner did badly or half assed, and the other half was making it more of a badass. The owner plans to do some grudge racing with it so I cant share a ton of details, but it borrows a lot of ideas from my truck and has more potential than mine did. A big hurdle was the previous owner moved the wastegate from the bottom (this started life as a kbracing turbo kit) of the crossover to right on the end of the log manifold right in the way. Half the bolts were missing or loose and the whole thing was just throw together that didnt inspire a lot of confidence.

I probably have 150 hours in this thing. I just cant seem to half *** anything so all electrical stuff is heat sleeved and soldered which takes a ton of time, all hoses are clamped, most things are painted black, everything cleaned and wrapped, etc. Customer wanted some wow factor when he opened the hood and for it to look professional and not just slopped together (see first pic).

Stuff I did includes:
-Complete new return system fuel system with dual pumps and 04+ tank
-Electrical cleanup (extend and shorten the harness, solder and heat shrink, wire loop, etc.)
-Underhood lights like mine
-Ceramic coated and wrapped hot pipes
-All cold side pipe is 3.5"
-Custom AC suction hose
-AC system works perfectly
-Cutout installed and wired up
-Meth system installed with dual nozzles
-Electronic Boost controller/wideband installed
-New Efan harness with automatic low and high speed control
-Relocated battery from bed back up front
-Custom radiator coolant tank
-3 bar tuning
-Transmission pan upgrade
-Front coilovers (my kit)
-Find and reinstall passenger side fender liner
-Upgrade electrical grounds and power wires
-Upgraded PCV system
-Install stock trans dipstick and tube
-Upgraded trans cooler install
-Custom wastegate dump tube
-Reinstall stock belt/idler setup
-Hydroboost swap
-05+ front brakes
-Stainless brake lines all around
-Install 2 step and hobbs switch
-Relocate PCM to clear cold side pipes
-Im sure a ton of stuff I cant think of

Of course there were 100 things that came up that had to be dealt with, but overall we are both very happy with it and it should hurt some massive feelings racing. Had a couple 3am nights trying to get this thing done on time. For anyone trying going to do a project, go ahead and triple the budget and double the time you think it will take

I didnt take many before pictures, but this is the gist:

I slept for 14 hours the day after he came and picked it up Now maybe after a week or so I will feel like finishing up mine.

Looks like you did about 5 years of work. Good job! Well, 5 years of work at my rate. LOL.

What's the advantage of running that intake? I've never researched it. Handle more boost?

That's impressive!!! I can't imagine taking on someone else's project lol. I hope you charged him standard performance labor rate of $125/hour... Did you get the SCG-1 dialed in anymore?

Havent done any launching yet, but breaking the tires loose at half throttle at 60mph isnt hard. Yea you are right about 5 years or so worth of work...in 4 weeks 0_0

Labor rate not even close to that. I messed up and severely underbid the project since we decided to go with a fixed price. Wont make that mistake again! Havent had a chance to mess with the SCG-1 any more but like I said in email it sure is finicky.

Good job man. You do nice work. I like how you moved the main harness behind the master cylinder. I could not get mine to go that far so it is in front of the master cylinder.
