iamkeniff 01-13-2012 07:20 PM

TIM Z 01-13-2012 07:27 PM

Thats awesome man.! I'd love to drive that !!

I think hellbentS10 built a turbo I-5 a while ago.

Dogsofjune 01-13-2012 07:32 PM

That's pretty nice.

CC05 01-13-2012 09:52 PM

Piece of junk...

2000chevysilverado 01-13-2012 09:55 PM

Man that thing skeets nice

Faster150 01-13-2012 11:11 PM

runs good!

A Low Dime 01-13-2012 11:13 PM

Time for some 275/40 nitto 555rs

reiners88 01-14-2012 12:22 AM

That's really cool man! Great work. Like what alowdime said 275 40 555r, you'll be a happy camper

A Low Dime 01-14-2012 12:25 AM

phump275/40 street tire on my S10 would hold a 75 shot on solid concrete from a stop....

275/40 555r drag radial would hold the 125 shot on concrete from a stop :hump:

Do it.

CC05 01-14-2012 12:29 AM

Colorado, fully bolted, etc., on a 125 shot...the 555r's never worked here.

Just nut up and get some Hoosier radials that are just enough to be legal on the streets.

Well, tough.

From reading your posts over the past weeks, most of the things that work fine for most people, dont seem to work for you in the same way.

CC05 01-14-2012 12:44 AM

Story of my life. I think I need to exclude my opinions from every thread for that exact reason.

Three6GMC 01-14-2012 02:29 AM

Nice little truck you got there, did you get someone to custom make you that turbo kit or does a company already have a bolt on system? Might be a dumb question but I have never looked into parts for your type of truck so thought id ask.

CC05 01-14-2012 03:34 AM

He pieced it together himself. There's no REAL aftermarket for the Colorado/Canyon...at all. :jest:

07 Z71 01-14-2012 03:52 AM

total sleeper

ltr450ryder 01-14-2012 07:53 AM

That thing is sick a$$ little sleeper

05_quick4door 01-14-2012 08:26 AM

Thanks for the kind words guys. It has a 275/40 on it now but obviously not in a drag radial compound.

There is no kit out there for these or reaI aftermarket like cc05 said. The only real hard part to make was the manifold and even that wasn't bad.

this all started as a little m90 i got off craigslist for 50 bucks and duct taped to it.

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...-32-00_749.jpg

reiners88 01-14-2012 09:25 AM

Wow. How did it run with the m90?

05_quick4door 01-14-2012 09:40 AM

it didnt. it locked up on me not long after i got it running so i figured what the hell lets have some fun. from the time i pulled it in the garage to the time i started tuning was like 7 months. so not to bad i suppose considering i did close to two builds

GetBlown01 01-15-2012 04:26 PM

nice work bro

fortplainman 01-15-2012 04:59 PM

love to see some I-6 turbo jobs around, that colorado runs really good.

05_quick4door 01-15-2012 05:41 PM

I wish I could shoe horn an i6 in it.

Dogsofjune 01-15-2012 07:21 PM

If a fellow can stuff a Duramax into an S10, I don't think an I6 would be an issue in a Rado.

05_quick4door 01-15-2012 07:27 PM

Im sure I could just have to relocate the rad or get a slimmer efan. But a v8 is so cheap

Dang right. Much cheaper option than trying to fit a random powerplant into these trucks. Btw, wtf do you have going on in that engine bay pic? A Harrop?

05_quick4door 01-15-2012 07:47 PM

No Haha that's an eaton m90. That was pre turbo

CC05 01-15-2012 07:57 PM

I was reading about the M90, then I knew all about then turbo, but I was thinking you took of the turbo and retro-mounted a Harrop or some nonsense like that, since I didn't figure you'd go back to a M90. Makes sense now.

05_quick4door 01-16-2012 07:34 AM

No I think I would have had to spin that turd to the moon to make any power with it.

The turbo that's on it now is actually coming off and a ball bearing 66 is making is way in. This one is out of steam.

Bowtie502 01-18-2012 12:34 AM

Slow.

05_quick4door 01-18-2012 03:25 PM

It would probably hang with your 2.2 s10 ricky!

Bowtie502 01-18-2012 06:18 PM

dang!! impressive!!! this thing is quick! 0-60 in like.. 60sec!

hahah

99% of the people on 355Nation are slow in more ways than one. If I ever need a good laugh, I go on there and read up for the week. I refuse to join just because of mis-informed, b.s. opinions. Aren't you WTRacing or something like that? That rcsb looked awesome.

Bowtie502 01-18-2012 08:42 PM

Cool sorry bro lol

Yeah that's me

kr1s 01-19-2012 01:41 AM

Woah! This is badass! :burnout:
I love anything that whistles :)

89LS1FOXER 01-19-2012 08:45 AM

ok that is just plain sick, i've always wanted to turbo a gm i5, there is so much room to play with on the exhaust side! Love the WTA setup too, good work man!
