Monday the turbo kit, and fuel pump will be here. My injectors should ship out monday as well. I will be getting header wrap, feed and drain line, and fittings locally.
This morning before the shop got to hot i finished putting the top end back together.
The valve covers are off of the old ly6 6 liter i built, nothing but 2 fittings so i can run hoses to a catch can no need to worry about the pcv valve.
Now you can see they are chevy orange. Think doing the cold pipes orange to match would look to tacky? I am thinking it will over take the engine bay. Im going for a more stockish detailed look, not moving any wires just adding some color...let me know what you guys think.

Im going with black header wrap on hot pipes, and i think Im going to just clean all the metal parts and spray high temp clear or do a flat gray rustoleum primer to kinda keep a stock theme. Only reason the valve covers are orange is they matched the old 6 liter and i did such good work on them i dont want to blast them back down to alum and repaint haha.

First off i want to give a big thanks to Kyle. I have seen dozens of trucks with his kits, and worked on 3 or 4 with them and the quality is second to none IMO. Everything is exactly what i wanted. Big thumbs up!
Got started today...
Tomorrow i will be dropping the pan to drill and tap it for the drain. That should take up most of my time, im trying to do all the major things 1 night at a time this way im not so tired during my work day. This weekend will be an interesting one.
Also i decided...im leaving all the cold piping as it is...it looks good enough and will fit well.

Also once the truck is done and driving it will be getting a severe detail.
This is the diverter plate, simple and easy. Force all exhaust energy to the one side of the housing.
If it doesnt work as planned i guess ill just run it open and only do roll races against 12 sec cars...that will make my truck a 12 sec truck right (if i win)
